Word Wise Founder and President, Dr. Linda Pearson, has been teaching students of all levels since 1963. Founding The Reading & Math Center in 1968, Dr. Pearson helped thousands of Alabama students through personalized one on one reading instruction. Taking her experience and applying it nationally, Dr. Pearson developed Word Wise: A Reading Skills Series in the mid 1980's.

Going on the road in 1989, Word Wise became an instant favorite among teachers, administrators, parents, and students. Speaking at seminars and conferences across the United States, the Word Wise team developed and maintained strong alliances with local leaders, state directors, and federal program coordinators.
